Yes, to change the HDMI resolution of your device, go to Settings -> Sound & Picture and select HDMI Resolution. Select the resolution which suits your TV the best.
You can also change the Video format of your device to Normal, Zoom, Fullscreen or Letterbox by selecting the desired aspect ratio (within Sound & Picture)
